Lack of clean water exposed the high number of students enrolled at the center to the threat of water borne diseases. GECPD with the support of Islamic Relief drilled a borehole, constructed an elevated water tank, piping system at the Harfo Girls’ Center. Islamic Relief also supported purchase of a power generator to pump and supply water. The borehole provides clean water to the students enabling them to maintain hygiene and sanitation.
