The purpose of this program is to build the capacity of women in leadership and management positions. This is in line with GECPD commitment to empower women and enhance access to equal opportunities for them.

The trainings were conceived after GECPD noted lack of capacity of local NGOs to deliver services to their needy and vulnerable community. The program has equipped women NGOs board members and management staff of various NGOs in Puntland with knowledge in fundamentals and management of NGOs and leadership skills which GECPD believes has enhanced their capacity to offer services to their communities.
